If you are interested in unforgettable Best Lagoon experiences in Iceland, then Blue Lagoon, Secret Lagoon, Vok Baths and Sky Lagoon are all stunning lagoon selections in Iceland. Best Lagoons in the land of ice and fire!

    Secret Lagoon – Gamla Laugin

The Secret Lagoon Natural Pool is located between Gulfoss and Kerid Crater, in the village of Fludir. If you want to bathe in a geothermal pool in Iceland, this incredible lagoon is a top choice. It’s fairly small compared to some others and a lot less busy. It’s a perfect place to unwind in the Golden Circle area.

This natural pool is a simple and authentic experience, only 2 to 3 feet deep. The average temperature throughout the year is 38-40 °C (100.4 – 104 °F). Nice way to warm up on a cold Icelandic day! The Secret Lagoon offers brand new facilities next the hot spring with clean showers, bar and eating tables and maybe the most favorite lagoon in Iceland!

    Sky Lagoon – Kopavagur

The Sky Lagoon is one of the Iceland’s biggest developments in the past 10 years. Located minutes from Reykjavik, Sky Lagoon boasts the views at the ocean-side infinity edge, with a ritual experience including saunas with ocean view and cool mist! One of the best lagoons in Iceland!

The Ritual Experience at the Sky Lagoon is where you go into a turf house and sit in a sauna, steam room, get a scrub. Very classy with infinity pool and ocean views. Sauna has a glass wall overlooking ocean too.

It’s sleek, it’s modern, with a clear water pool right by the ocean and turf houses built in authentic Icelandic design, with dark lovely lanterns floating on the water.

    Vök Baths

Vök Baths in East Iceland is an experience in its own right! Located on the bank of Urriðavatn Lake, Vök Baths are the only floating geothermal baths/infinity pools in all of Iceland! Perfect and stunning place to take a bath, drink and just relax in the open air! One of the most beautiful lagoons in Iceland!

    The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is one of the world famous tourist attraction in Iceland. This milky blue geothermal spa found on the Reykjanes Peninsula in southwest Iceland close to Keflavík Airport.

It’s amazing, it’s busy and it’s expensive. Because it is so popular – it may seem like a tourist trap and may not be the experience for everyone. There are other geothermal springs in Iceland which are less crowded and much cheaper so it’s your call.

Or, the luxurious Blue Lagoon may be just right for you! You will need to make a reservation, choose a package and relax! The Blue Lagoon is indeed Iceland’s most favorite lagoon!

    Secret Lagoon vs. Blue Lagoon

    • The Blue Lagoon is a popular and crowded spa experience, while Secret Lagoon is more intimate, quieter, cheaper and less crowded.
    • If you want the milky blue water color and a luxury spa experience, then the Blue Lagoon is for you. However, if you are after a natural geothermal bathing experience at a lower price, then choose the Secret Lagoon! These two are VERY different experiences! Try both!

    Sky Lagoon vs. Blue Lagoon

    • What about Sky Lagoon? It’s smaller than Blue Lagoon and has oceanside setting (which Blue Lagoon doesn’t have).
    • The architecture of the Sky Lagoon building is very Icelandic in design – turf houses etc.
    • Blue Lagoon has more unique silica blue water while Sky Lagoon has a great sunset view.

    Favorite Lagoons in Iceland

While the Blue Lagoon with its picturesque milky blue waters maybe the most famous lagoon in Iceland, you will be equally impressed (if not more), with the stunning Sky Lagoon, beautiful Vök Baths, and unique Secret Lagoon! The most incredible lagoons in Iceland!
