Easy Waffle from Scratch

These waffles are incredibly light, crispy and super easy to make. Enjoy them with fresh berries, whipped cream and maple syrup!

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk (warm)
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1.5 tsp vanilla extract


  • Preheat waffle iron.
  • Dry Ingredients: Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder in a large mixing bowl and salt and whisk to combine.
  • Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl whisk the eggs and stir in the warm milk, melted butter and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until blended.
  • Ladle the batter into the preheated waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp. Serve immediately or lay on a cooling rack until cool.
