Why make Strawberry Tiramisu
- You can make it ahead. Whether you prefer to make the dessert the day before or refrigerate it before serving - this strawberry balsamic tiramisu is a perfect candidate. No bake desserts will get thicker, creamier, and better with time in the fridge.
- Save on Ingredients. I am a fan of saving money anyway I can, especially at the grocery store. Making this dessert is cheap, easy and efficient! As a matter of fact, you can save money making it!
- Full Fat Dairy. When making no bake desserts, be sure to use the full-fat products. The light stuff or reduced-fat has a thinner texture to it due to more water content. It won't hold the dessert well. Full fat also offers the better texture.

What kind of cheese do I need
Mascarpone is a soft, slighter sweet spreadable cheese - well-known as the key ingredient in Italian desserts like tiramisu and cannoli. Mascarpone has twice as much fat as American cream cheese, which gives it a richer quality.
Mascarpone is also bland compared to saltier cream cheese.
You can use the two interchangeably here, but you should opt for mascarpone due to its higher fat content. And tradition! Any classic tiramisu calls for mascarpone cheese.

What kind of cookies can I use
Ladyfingers - These light, airy sponge cookies resemble a lady's delicate finger, hence the name "lady fingers." The spongy texture absorbs cheese layer easily while retaining its shape, but keeps the tiramisu from becoming too dense.
Margherite cookies - These cookie bars are similar in shape to lady fingers, long and rectangular with rounded edges, but the top of the cookies have a wavy pattern. Margherite cookies are denser than spongy lady fingers, which makes them an ideal stand-in for traditional lady fingers.
Italian breakfast cookies - Traditional tiramisu recipes call for lady fingers, but Italian breakfast cookies are a suitable alternative when you can't find lady fingers.

How to prepare strawberries
Quantity - You will need 2 cups of sliced strawberries.
Size - Slice strawberries thinly, as shown on the photo below.
Balsamic Strawberries - Add powdered sugar and balsamic vinegar to the bowl with sliced strawberries and proceed to making the next step.

How to make Mascarpone Cheese Layer
In a large bowl, combine mascarpone cheese and heavy whipping cream together with powdered sugar and vanilla extract.

Mix with an electric mixer until relatively thick as show below. About 1 minute!

How to assemble No Bake Strawberry Tiramisu
Ladyfinger Layer - Prepare a rectangular dish (you can also use a square one) and place one layer of cookies on the bottom of that dish.

Strawberry Layer - Spread strawberries on top of the cookies. Pack as many as you wish - the layer should be quite thick and it's ok if strawberries are falling off!

Mascarpone Layer - Spread the mascarpone cheese layer on top of the strawberries.

Repeat layers again.
Done!
Tips & Helpful Hints
Can I freeze No Bake Strawberry Tiramisu?
I would recommend to wrap your strawberry tiramisu in cling wrap and freeze up to 3 months. The only thing that will potentially change is the texture of the ladyfingers.
Remember about moisture migration, where the moisture in a tiramisu wants to be equally dispersed within the entire thing. If you are used to having more texture in your ladyfingers, you may notice a change. If you soak yours pretty well you probably wouldn't notice a change.
How long will leftovers last?
I keep leftover in the fridge for up to 5 days afterwards. The mascarpone cheese filling starts to create liquid around day 4 which will make the crust soggy by day 5.

How to store No Bake Strawberry Tiramisu
First of all, wrap your Strawberry Tiramisu in Saran wrap.
You can refrigerate it up to 1 week before sogginess is noticeable.
Or, freeze it up to 3 months.
