I have to say, Pineapple Cream Cheese Dessert is one of my weaknesses. It’s rich and silky, yet light and creamy, and bite after bite goes down SO easily. Good luck just having one slice! The richness of the cream cheese combined with the sweetness of cool whip, served up cold, is a tasty finish to any family dinner!
No bake pineapple dessert ingredients
- 8 oz. block of cream cheese
- A tub of cool whip
- One can of sliced pineapples
- Box of graham crackers
- One graham cracker crust
What kind of canned pineapple to buy
Sliced canned pineapple, drained and chopped. We need distinct pieces of pineapples not mushy mess. Therefore I recommend buying sliced pineapple and chopping it into smaller slices with a knife. That’s it!
I don’t recommend canned crushed pineapples, but you can definitely go this route as long as they are not in heavy syrup. Do you know what crushed pineapples in heavy syrup look like? Applesauce! Runny and slimy. That’s not what we want for this dessert.
What kind of pie crust do I need
You will need an 8 inch pre-made graham cracker crust. If you head down the baking isle, you will find it on the shelf next to sugar, and other baking condiments. Not in a freezer section. It comes in a disposable tin foil pie dish. You definitely need to carefully open it up to avoid damaging it.
Do I need to bake my graham cracker crust?
Graham cracker crust can be used as is – straight out of the box.
Step by step instructions
Let’s start by softening cream cheese. You will microwave it in the oven safe dish for 20 seconds. Next, you will move it to a large bow and add a tub of cool whip. Using a rubber spatula, gently mix everything together.
Let’s chop pineapple into small chunks and add it to the cream cheese/cool whip mixture. Fold all that pineapple into the mixture.
Now that we prepared the filling for our pineapple dessert, let’s fill that pie crust all the way to the top.
How to crush graham crackers
Because we are using crushed graham crackers as the topping our no bake pineapple pie, we will need a zip lock bag and a wooden roller to crush them.
Once you crush your graham crackers, you will have both powdery chunks and more sizable ones. That’s exactly what we want. We don’t want uniformity – we want a variety of texture!
All that we have left to do is add these crushed graham crackers on top of our pineapple dessert. I used my fingers to spread them over the top. As you can see from the picture below, I didn’t put anything on the edges of the pie, but instead kept the crumbs towards the center.
Refrigerate before serving
We want to be able to cut into this delicious dessert easily, which is why I recommend refrigerating it for at least an hour! I also sometimes put it in the freezer for 30 minutes or more, if short on time. That works too!
We just need a cooler temperature to ensure that fats in cool whip and cream cheese solidify again so that we can easily slice our pineapple dessert. It’s so much easier to serve it that way!
How to store no bake pineapple dessert
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. You can also freeze it for up to 2 months.

Using Tid-bits would work great. Smaller than chunks and about the size of the chopped rings in the photo. I just happen to have a can in my cluttered pantry, so after lunch I am going to make this pie.
Thanks for the idea. Bet this would also be great with can cherries. Not pie filling, but whole cherries in a can you can chop.
Yes, those type of cherries are perfect!
Sounds delicious. I would use a can of pineapple chunks (drained) to make it even easier.
Oh yeah that would be much easier.
